Erik is the co-owner of World Class, and he has been coaching gymnastics in the Capital Region since 1995. In 2011, he was named Junior Olympic Coach of the Year. Erik currently serves as the head of New York State USA Gymnastics and is also a clinician for USA Gymnastics. Along with coaching national champions and numerous NCAA full scholarship recipients, Erik coached the Adirondack women’s gymnastics team from 2002-2010. In that time, his athletes won over a hundred medals. Erik earned his BS from Siena College.

World Class Gymnastics Academy is one of the Northeast’s premier gymnastics training facilities. They offer programs that contain everything from high level Junior Olympic national champions, to classes for toddlers. Gymnastics is an exceptionally fun way to learn body awareness, strength and flexibility. Their two facilities located in Latham and Clifton Park offer learning opportunities that are not available anywhere else in the Capital District. Fully featured gym areas, with equipment specifically designed for different size and level athletes, makes sure your gymnasts is learning in the best possible environment.

Erik explains, "The gym strikes a really nice balance between being competitive, and a very healthy place. We are trying to help educate kids and have high self esteem, intrinsically motivated, with positive reinforcement."

World Class also has a lot of relationships with other businesses in the community. For instance, they are a partner with Special Olympics. "We've actually had the pleasure of hosting the state competition in the facility for the last two years," Erik explains.
