Let’s learn a little more about Gia Mertzlufft…
What’s the strangest family tradition in your family?
I don’t find that we have strange family traditions. I love all of our traditions. One of my favorites is our birthday pancakes. Since I can remember, my mom has always made me pancakes for breakfast on my birthday. She would always make these pancakes in the shape of the age we are turning. I have done this with both of my kids since their first birthday too. If you want to get a bit strange with the pancakes, we eat our pancakes with peanut butter and syrup.
Do you prefer sweet or salty?
Usually I go for the salty, but this could change depending on my mood. I love fries and chips…they are my weakness.
Do you prefer mountains or the ocean?
I absolutely LOVE the ocean. I love it even more since marrying a Jamaican. I literally could live and work at the beach and fall asleep listening to the ocean’s waves.
What is the best moment of your life?
My life is filled with many fantastic moments. I would say my top few moments are marrying the man of my dreams, Ojay, and becoming a mom. Hands down the best moments of my life. My kids actually walked me down the aisle and gave me away to Ojay as we all joined our lives together.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love to travel. I love to travel all over the Caribbean, but my favorite place to go would have to be Jamaica. Not only did I meet the man of my dreams there, but I love the food, music, and culture. Not to mention – the beaches are just amazing. I have always loved to go to this country. I have been more times than I can count now.
